A Package Itinerary is an off-the-shelf itinerary that can be booked by anyone. This is the area where you need to add your standard package products which can then be pulled into bookings. Packages can either be imported or created manually. In this section we look at manual package creation. To add a new Package, go to Trips -> Packages and then click Add Package, which opens Create New Package screen


Creating a New Package





Language Tabs

You can add data in any or all of the 5 languages selected for your organisation to specific applicable multilingual fields. Clicking on any Language Tab will switch the applicable fields to the selected language so that the user can input the data.


Import Type

If you are Typing in the details manually, select Manual. The other type is Import PDF which you can use to directly upload a PDF containing the Package Details.


Trip Name

This is the name of the Package as it will be displayed in the CMS and in Bookings.


About Trip

Here you add some introductory text to describe the Itinerary.


Owner

The Admin/User creating the package will be the owner of the Package. The owner will be visible in the Tineri Application in the Chat Section.


Additional Owners

You can add additional owners to a Package from among Admins and Users. The  additional owners will be visible in the Tineri Application in the Chat Section.


Emergency Contacts

You can add emergency contacts to a Package from among Admins and Users. The emergency contacts will be visible in the Tineri Application in the Chat Section.


Countries

Use the drop-down menu to select the Country, or Countries in case of multi-country trips, in which the Itinerary takes place.


Brand

You can assign a different Branding to this Package.


Map Type

You have three choices here:

MANUAL - creates Google Map based on start/end/intermediate points

IMPORT GPX/KML - enables you to import maps previously created in GPX (GPS Exhange) or KML (Keyhole Markup Language) formats.

IMPORT PDF - enables you to upload a PDF document having the route details which will be displayed in the app


Show Map In

Select Mapbox Or Google Maps to use that library to display the Map Routes in the app accordingly.


Settings available only for 'show map in' Mapbox:
1) Map Modes
Select the default mode in which the map will be displayed in app (Walking/Driving/Cycling).

2) Points Of Interest

Select the points of interests which will be displayed on map .These contain image of the point with description.


Startpoint/Endpoint/Intermediate Points

Here you add the points at which the tour starts and ends in order to create the trip map. Simply start typing the locations in these fields and Google Maps will identify them. If the exact point you need is not listed, please select the nearest listed location.


Save Map Route/Import Map Route

Opens a Prompts to save current route points for future use and import already saved routes. For a more detailed explanation check Map Routes


Trip Start Time

The trip start time is used to display the count down timer in the app and if left blank the default value used by the APP is 9:00 am Local Time.


Number Of Nights

Number of nights involved in the entire tour/package.


Internal Notes

Notes to be made about the package only visible to the Admins.


Header Image

Select a suitable Image to appear as the trip header/avatar in the CMS and on the App.


Add Accommodation

Used to assign Accommodation to days of the Package Tour


Click Submit, and your Package will be saved and you will be taken to the Itinerary Builder, where you can add days to the trip and enter descriptions.



Building a Itinerary



+ Day

Clicking + Day will do just that - add additional days to your itinerary.


Adding Daily Details

To add content to each day, click on the Edit button underneath the Day in the left hand column. This opens up the Daily Details screen as below:


Language Tabs

If import day button id clicked a new field Day Name will be visible .Select the day from the drop down to import an already saved day.

Day Title

Enter a descriptive name for the day's activities.


Content

Here you enter the daily itinerary text for this day, and add Tineri Tips by typing '@' to get auto suggestions.


Location

The city - or cities - in which the day's itinerary takes place.


Map Type

You have four choices here:

MULTIPLE - enables you to create or import up-to 4 manual routes for the day. For a detailed explanation check Map Routes

Here you can select which experiences you wish to appear for this day.


Meals

Here you can select which Meals you wish to appear for this day.


Flights

Here you can select which flights you wish to appear for this day. You can also search and add new flights.


Contacts

Although it is unlikely for an Itinerary, you may already have specific Useful Contacts for this trip, in which case you should select them here.


Survey Items

Here you select which Survey Items you wish to appear for this day. You can also Add new Survey Items here.


Extras

Here you can select which Extras you wish to appear for this day.

You can also Add new Extras here.


Transportation

Here you can select which Transportation you wish to appear for this day.

You can also Add new Transportation here.


Click Submit, and your daily details will be added as below:




Adding Daily Timelines

Timelines are "in-brief" versions of daily itineraries that customers can view when using the app, in case they just want to see what time things are happening and a quick summary of the day's activities, instead of lots of descriptive text. 


To create a new Timeline, click the Add a Timeline button, which opens the following screen:



Time

Use the clock to select the start time for the Timeline.


Name

Create a Name for the Timeline.


You can then add sub-events to a Timeline as shown above, by clicking Add Detail Timeline and then adding a new Time and Name.


When you are happy with your Timeline, click Submit, and your Timeline will be displayed in the relevant Day as below:




Simply repeat the process for each Day until you have built your Itinerary.
