In this section, you will learn how to make a new Booking from scratch - setting up the basic Booking details, adding Travellers, adding Itinerary content, and sending the Tineri App download link to your clients.
Adding Basic Booking Details
To begin, go to Bookings and click Add Booking, which opens up the following screen:
Language Tabs
You can add data in any or all of the 5 languages selected for your organisation to specific applicable multilingual fields. Clicking on any Language Tab will switch the applicable fields to the selected language so that the user can input the data.
Import Type
If you are Typing in the details manually, select Manual. The other type is Import PDF which you can use to directly upload a PDF containing the Booking Details.
Itinerary Type
Select Bespoke (see Making a New Package Booking if you want to book an existing Package Itinerary).
Trip Name
Enter a unique name for the Booking. This is the name that will appear in client correspondence and the App.
About Trip
Use this field to enter general trip overview info, terms & conditions, pricing etc - whatever you want. This will appear in the About Trip area of the App.
Owner
The Owner is the User responsible for operating the booking and whose name will appear as the primary Tour Operator contact in App chat.
Additional Owners
You can add other Users here if you wish multiple TO contacts to appear in the App.
Emergency Contacts
You can add emergency contacts to a Booking from among Admins and Users. The emergency contacts will be visible in the Tineri Application in the Chat Section.
Travel Agent Organisations
If this booking is made for one (or more) of your Travel Agent clients, select them here.
Countries
Select the Country, or Countries, in which the trip takes place.
Brand
Select the brand to which which the booking is to be assigned.
Map Type
You have three choices here:
MANUAL - creates Google Map based on start/end/intermediate points
IMPORT GPX/KML - enables you to import maps previously created in GPX (GPS Exhange) or KML (Keyhole Markup Language) formats.
IMPORT PDF - enables you to upload a PDF document having the route details which will be displayed in the app
Show Map In
Select the map in which the map will be displayed in the App.The map can either Google map or Mapbox.
Settings available only for 'show map in' Mapbox:
1) Map Modes
Select the default mode in which the map will be displayed in app (Walking/Driving/Cycling).
2) Points Of Interest
Select the points of interests which will be displayed on map .These contain image of the point with description.
Startpoint/Endpoint
Here you add the points at which the tour starts and ends in order to create the trip map. Simply start typing the locations in these fields and Google Maps will identify them. If the exact point you need is not listed, please select the nearest listed location.
Intermediate Points
Here you add any intermediate points you wish to include between the Start & End points in order to create an accurate Map.
Save Map Route/Import Map Route
Opens a Prompts to save current route points for future use and import already saved routes. For a more detailed explanation check Map Routes
Start Date/Trip Start Time/No of Nights
Select the booking start date,start time and the number of nights. The start time is used to display the count down timer in the app and if left blank the default value used by the APP is 9:00 am Local Time
Internal Notes
Here the TO can add additional booking notes meant for his personal purpose.These notes are not visible in app.
Header Image
Select a suitable Image to appear as the trip header in the CMS & App - this is the image that will appear on the Main Menu of the App.
Home Screen Image
Select a suitable Image to appear in the App Home Screen - the screen travellers see after they log into Tineri.
Accommodations
Here you select the accommodations for this trip. You can add multiple accommodations & select the days for which they are booked.
Guide
Here you select the primary or national Guide for this trip. You can add multiple Guides & select the days on which they will be working.
Travellers/Traveller Groups
Here you select existing Travellers or Traveller Groups to add to this booking, or add new Travellers using the button.
Archives After
Set an access expiry limit for this booking, after which the Travellers will no longer be able to access the booking via the App. For example, if you set this value to 30, then 30 days after the end of the trip the Travellers will no longer have access.
Tour Survey Deadline
Select the max number of days after the booking ends till which the Traveller can submit Tour surveys.
Status
Here you select the relevant Status of the Booking.
When you click Submit, the Booking will be Saved and you can then start adding content to your booking.
Building a Booking
ITINERARY
In this tab, you build your daily itinerary as follows:
Add a New Day
Clicking Add a New Day will do just that - add additional days to your Booking
Adding Daily Details
To add content to each day, click on the Edit button underneath the Day in the left hand column. This opens up the Daily Details screen as below:
Language Tabs

Import Day/Day Name
If import day button id clicked a new field Day Name will be visible .Select the day from the drop down to import an already saved day.

Day Title
Enter a descriptive name for the day's activities.
Content
Here you enter the daily itinerary text for this day, and add Tineri Tips.
Locations
The city - or cities - in which the day's itinerary takes place
Map Type
You have four choices here:
MANUAL - creates Google Map based on start/end/intermediate points
IMPORT GPX/KML - enables you to import maps previously created in GPX (GPS Exhange) or KML (Keyhole Markup Language) formats.
IMPORT PDF - enables you to upload a PDF document having the route details which will be displayed in the app
MULTIPLE - enables you to create or import up-to 4 manual routes for the day. For a detailed explanation check Map Routes

Select a suitable image for the background/avatar for this day to appear in the CMS and on the app.
Accommodation
The accommodation selected while creating/editing the package itinerary will be shown here for the corresponding days.
Experiences
Here you can select which experiences you wish to appear for this day.
Meals
Here you can select which Meals you wish to appear for this day.
Flights
Here you can select which flights you wish to appear for this day. You can also search and add new flights.
Contacts
Although it is unlikely for an Itinerary, you may already have specific Useful Contacts for this trip, in which case you should select them here.
Survey Items
Here you select which Survey Items you wish to appear for this day. You can also Add new Survey Items here.
Extras
Here you can select which Extras you wish to appear for this day.
You can also Add new Extras here and assign them to specific travellers too. Clicking on Assign Traveller button opens the following form:
- Select All: Checking select all will make the extra visible to all Travellers of the Booking
- Include Guides: Checking Include guides will include guides in the User's Dropdown for selection or if Select All is checked then the Extra will be visble to all Travellers as well as Guides assigned to this Booking
- Users: This dropdown can be used to select specific travellers/guides to whom the Extra will be visible to
Transportation
Here you can select which Transportation you wish to appear for this day.
You can also Add new Transportation here and assign seats to travellers too.Clicking on Assign Traveller button opens the following form:
- Show Seats To All: Checking this will allow fellow travellers/guides to view all the seat numbers assigned to each other.If this option is unchecked then only the travellers to whom the seat is assigned will be able to see their own Seat Assignment Details
- Users: This dropdown can be used to select specific travellers to whom the seat assignement needs to be done/shown
Click Submit, and your daily details will be added as below:
Adding Daily Timelines
Timelines are "in-brief" versions of daily itineraries that customers can view when using the app, in case they just want to see what time things are happening and a quick summary of the day's activities, instead of lots of descriptive text.
To create a new Timeline, click the Add a Timeline button, which opens the following screen:
Time
Use the clock to select the start time for the Timeline.
Name
Create a Name for the Timeline.
You can then add sub-events to a Timeline as shown above, by clicking Add Detail Timeline and then adding a new Time and Name.
When you are happy with your Timeline, click Submit, and your Timeline will be displayed in the relevant Day as below:
Simply repeat the process for each Day until you have built your Booking.
Sending the App Download Link
Once all the Booking details are complete, you can send a download link to your clients so they download the App, log in, and access their Booking. First, you need to click on the Share icon in the Booking Header, and select Send Welcome Email. This opens up the following dialogue:
Language Type
If "Traveller Preferred Language" is selected the email,attached pdf will be sent in the corresponding preferred languages selected for each traveller. If Choose Language is selected the user will get a language dropdown to select the language to be used.
Language
Choose the email template Language you wish to send.
Emails to select in 'To'
Selecting "Travellers/Guides" will load the "To" dropdown with the list of Travellers and if the "Include guides in the recievers list" flag is checked it will also load the list of guides. If the admin wants to send the email to himself or other users he can select "Admin/Users" which will load the "To" dropdown with the list of Admins and Users
Select All/Deselect All/To
Allows you to choose which Travellers/Guides/Admins/Users get the link. If you select 4 Travellers, 4 emails will be sent, each containing the individual users username and password details.
Include PDF
Tick this box if you wish a PDF version of the Itinerary to be attached to the email.
Attachments
This is a file upload field which allows the admin to attach other documents if required while sending the Welcome to App Email.
Subject
This is the subject line of the email that will be sent to the Travellers. It is picked up from your Email Template but can be edited.
Body
The Body is a mix of free text and Tineri codes. The codes convert into actual trip information once the email is generated, and so should not be touched. If you want to change or add codes, please ask your system administrator. Free text can be edited.
Email Preview
Click to see what the email will look like to the Traveller.
Once you are happy with the email, click Send, and your clients will receive their download link!
TRAVELLERS/GROUPS
In this tab you can add and edit Travellers and Traveller groups.
To add a new Traveller or Group, click Add Entry and check out Adding a New Traveller.
DOCUMENTS
This tab shows all documents which have been assigned to
1) This Booking (assigned either to specific travellers or assigned by role(s))
2) All Bookings (assigned by role(s))
3) Package from which this booking was created (assigned by role(s))
DAILY SURVEYS
This tab shows survey results for all survey items in the booking.
In this screen you can Print off survey results or export them to Excel. To view the details of a survey item, click View Detail, which opens up the following:
END OF TOUR
This tab summarises responses to your End of Tour Survey.
HISTORY
This tab provides an audit trail of all activity executed in the Booking.
Bulk Import
If you want to do a bulk import, download the sample CSV/Excel from Download Templates sub menu located inside Import Data main menu. Modify the Excel/CSV and add the appropriate data and import it through Upload Data Sub menu located inside Import Data main menu.
