In this area, you add all the Guides your company uses, whether full-time or freelance, local or national. To add a new Guide, go to Contacts/Guides, and click Add Entry, which pops up the following screen:
Language Tabs
You can add data in any or all of the 5 languages selected for your organisation to specific applicable multilingual fields. Clicking on any Language Tab will switch the applicable fields to the selected language so that the user can input the data.
Import Type
Guides can be added manually, or imported as a PDF. If you have Guide description in the PDF format then select "Import PDF" from the drop-down menu and follow instructions.This field is mandatory and you should use the Guide's work email.
First Name/Last Name
Please enter the Guide's First Name & Last Name in these fields (NB for cultures where the last name appears first, eg Vietnam, you should put the family name in the Last Name field and the Given Name(s) in the First Name field - so for example, for Nguyen Thi Hoa, first name would be Thi Hoa (or just Hoa), and Last Name would be Nguyen)
Description
Here you enter a Guide bio that will be seen by customers using the app, so make sure it is customer-friendly.
Use Description as Tineri Tip
If you're happy for the Description to appear as a Tineri Tip, select YES. If you select NO, you can enter an alternative description in the Tineri Tip Description field.
PDF Description
Here you will upload the file containing Guide bio that will be seen by customers using the app, so make sure it is customer-friendly. This field will be visible if you have selected Import type as Import PDF.
Preferred Language for App
This will be the language in which Guide will see the Itinerary in the App. The default language is the Organisation mandatory language. Please make sure you select the most appropriate language for the better user experience.
Gender/Birthday/Telephone/Address/City/Provine/Country Fields
These are optional but you should complete as much information as possible.
Job Title
This should be based on your own internal guide terminology - examples might be National Guide, Bangkok Guide, Architecture Guide, History Expert, etc.
Experience
Enter the number of years' experience the Guide has.
Languages
The Languages in which the Guide is able to conduct tours.
Avatar
Please choose a suitable Image for the User, following the image size guidelines in the CMS. This image will appear in the Guide Bio section of the App so please choose an image that you would be happy for your clients to see.
Tineri Tip Image
If you are creating Tineri Tips for Guides, you can add the image here.
Once you have completed all fields, click Submit, and your new Guide will be created as in the screen below. You can see the basic details of the guides like Name, Email, Avatar, Average Score (Based on the ratings given by Travellers) with the ability to search/sort the Guides within the system. You can also Edit or Delete Guides using the relevant buttons.
You can view the additional details of the Guide by clicking on View button.
This page will have three sections:
- User Details: This will show all the details of the Guide. You can update the Guide details by clicking on the Edit button.
- Survey: You will be able to see the Average, Minimum and Maximum score which a Guide received across the bookings. You can also check the Graph between Booking and Average Score. This graph will show what is the average score of a given Guide on different bookings.
- User History: This is an Audit feature which will show you who updated what for that particular Guide.
You can click on the "View detail" Link and it will show you the change log. For example, the below screen-shot shows that Country for Guide changed from India to the United States of America
Bulk Import
If you want to do a bulk import download the sample CSV/Excel from Download Templates sub-menu located inside the Import Data main menu. Modify the Excel/CSV and add the appropriate data and import it through the Upload Data Sub menu located inside the Import Data main menu.
